How to Pay TN Challan Offline?
If you are paying your tamil nadu e challan offline, there are three methods for paying in person. These options are useful if you are not comfortable with online payments or perhaps you need to speak to someone in person to check and pay your challan.
Make payment at a nearby Traffic Police Station:
- Go to any nearest Traffic Police Station in your city
- Provide your vehicle number or a copy of printed challan
- The officer will check if you have any pending traffic fine
- You can make it in cash or swipe POS card
- Make sure to get your proper payment receipt
Pay through Tamil Nadu e-Seva or CSC Centers
- Go to your nearest e-Seva center or Common Service Centre (CSC)
- Provide your vehicle registration number
- The staff will log on or check your e-challan through official portal
- You can make payment by cash, card or UPI
- Then, you get printed payment confirmation slip
Pay at RTO Offices in Tamil Nadu

How to Dispute a Wrong Traffic E Challan in Tamil Nadu
If you have received a wrong e challan Tamil-Nadu due to some error, wrong vehicle being captured or false violation, there are processes for disputing it through the official channels below:
Go to the Parivahan Grievance Portal
Access the official website - https://parivahan.gov.in - and find the “Grievance” tab in the e-challan services.
Organize your evidence to support your dispute. You could include:
• Dashcam footage
• Parking slips
• Toll receipts or GPS location history
• Images or documents showing your vehicle was elsewhere
Complete a Dispute Form
Put the correct vehicle registration number, challan number, and upload all files. In the explanation area of the form, specify the details of your dispute.
Wait for Verification
Your complaint will be forwarded to be verified by the Tamil-Nadu RTO or traffic department. Once verified, the wrongful challan could be cancelled or amended.
Go to the Traffic Police Headquarters (if required)
In the event that you receive no communication in a few working days or if the matter is urgent, you may go to the nearest traffic police office, or the Traffic. Make sure you bring the originals and photocopies of all the relevant documents, such as your vehicle RC, driving licence and the e-challan notice.
Appear at the virtual court or at the physical court (if needed)
In some cases, if the matter is unresolved through the Tamil-Nadu Traffic Police, the e challan can be moved to the Virtual Court Tamil-Nadu, or Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
